JOB TITLE: PCC Assistant / Lead Generator
DEPARTMENT: Vision Correction Center
REPORTS TO: Clinic Manager

JOB SUMMARY: Primarily assist all Patient Care Counselors with various tasks that may include clerical duties, and overall finalize the surgery check list for each surgical chart. Answer incoming refractive calls and work within the online lead portal to schedule consults and follow up on new patient inquiries.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Work closely with other departments. Check-in surgery charts and send charts out that are requested from other locations
* Print chart pull report and gather charts for H & P and A-scans, Pre-Op and Surgery Charts (2-3 days prior to sx)
* Request all medical clearances and make sure they are complete prior to surgery
* Assist with scheduling enhancement procedures
* Finalize surgery check list per patient surgery chart to make sure all required paperwork is in order
* Order all IOL and ICLs prior to procedure
* Works closely with other departments / office to transfer chart information and complete charts as requested
* Print 2nd eye paperwork prior to 1 week post op
* Assist with collection of money for upcoming surgeries. Print chart pull report to verify what patients have not made payment and attempt to collect prior to charts going to surgery department.
* Call all LASIK / PRK surgery patients to confirm arrival time and give pre op instructions.
* Code and apply charges to LASIK procedures. Assist front desk with auto-flow and end of day balancing reports.
* Assist with Telephone Calls that come in through PCC task inbox
* Returns all phone calls by the end of the work day.
* If patient cancels surgery, cancels all related appointments in the computer and notifies PCC
* Makes appointments as necessary
* Provides accurate information regarding scheduled surgeries (times, dates, instructions) in a friendly, professional manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
1.High school diploma or equivalent
2.Prefer minimum one year medical office experience

* Familiarity with general office equipment
* Must be able to stand and sit for long periods. Work activity also requires walking, bending, reaching and lifting.
